Special Learning, in partnership with Touch Technology, will broadcast this two-day symposium dedicated to exhibiting the latest touch-tablet apps, via live streaming webcast. Those who cannot attend the conference will have inclusive access to videotaped sessions of creators and developers showcasing the most recent tablet applications and professionals demonstrating how these applications can be utilized with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to expand communication and language, express basic wants and needs, build upon academic success, engage in social settings, and manage behavioral concerns. This event is being held on September 17 and 18 at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri. Through its live streaming webcast, Special Learning is providing a platform for those who cannot attend to access valuable informational sessions from the conference.
Touch technology utilizes the most popular touch-tablet device formats, including iPad, iTouch, iPhone, Kindle Fire, and Android devices, along with practical applications carefully created by some of the best app developers in the nation with the needs of individuals with ASD and other disabilities in mind. The conference features app developers sharing and demonstrating the capabilities of touch technology applications.
