For BCBA and BCaBA supervisors

A practice and feedback worksheet for ABA supervisors

Use a brief demonstration, rehearsal and feedback cycle to support a new technician’s learning.

Pick one task to rehearse

Choose an employer-authorized skill suited to the learner’s role, such as recording an example observation. Use fictional details; don’t put client names or identifying information in this worksheet.

Run the practice

  1. Explain: describe the task, when to stop and whom to ask if the situation is unclear.
  2. Demonstrate: show the steps using a practice scenario. Name what you are doing and why.
  3. Rehearse: invite the technician to try the same scenario. Ask what they noticed and what they would do if unsure.
  4. Feedback: name one observed action that worked, then one specific adjustment. Demonstrate again if helpful and invite another attempt.
