SEEKING: ETHICAL ABA ORGANIZATION IN LEHIGH VALLEY, PA (Who are looking to hire committed BTs/RBTs)

As some of you may already know, I started a new project about 2 months ago that we’re calling RBT Pipeline Development to develop a consistent pipeline of RBTs for a highly ethical ABA organization located in the Lehigh Valley area.

Although it’s taken countless hours of work using an internal team of 7 (6 including myself) we have achieved unprecedented, but qualified, success. Qualified only because our success has been in identifying and ushering in candidates from outside the field of ABA interested in becoming RBTs. All viable candidates possess the main characteristics we were seeking – (1) burning desire to help other people; (2) experience working with individuals with disabilities; (3) personal commitment to professional growth; (4) loyalty, as exhibited by their stated desire to stay and grow with an organization long-term – as long as the business continued to deliver on its promises.
As it turns out, we have done our jobs so well that we need to find additional homes to place these candidates that our original client is not able to absorb.
I am looking for recommendations from people in the field of ABA of other Ethical ABA Organizations located in the Lehigh Valley and Harrisburg/Mechanicsburg areas with a demonstrated commitment to supporting their BTs and RBTs by giving them ALL the tools and support they need to transform lives.
In addition to being an ethical ABA organization, I am looking for client partners who are willing fully collaborate and work with me and take a systems approach to solve the big business challenges that all organizations face. Recruiting is only one piece of the puzzle. In order to improve services and reduce turnover, the entire business needs to be optimized so that we can create opportunities to offer true career paths and diversity of work to BTs and RBTs who are not interested in becoming BCBAs.
Our pipeline includes 21 candidates who have been prescreened (Zoom interviews available) and are working on gathering their clearances. Clearances include:
(1) Mandated Reporting
(2) CPR
(3) PA DHS Fingerprint
(4) PA PDE Fingerprint
(5) PA Criminal Background
(6) PA Child Abuse History Certification
We have offered our RBT Training to all candidates who have passed our interviews that are waiting to be placed so some may be in various stages of completion.
Please email kchung@special-learning.com with recommendations on ABA Organizations located in the Lehigh Valley and Harrisburg Areas that place the needs of clients ahead of profits and employ business practices that nurture their staff.
Thank You!

Being an RBT for me was extremely fun because where were you going to find a place where you can be completely silly without having to worry what people thought about you? This was the only job that made me feel like I could make a dramatic difference while being myself.

I also liked to be surrounded by people that had the same goals of wanting to help kids and the teamwork made the job much easier and more enjoyable.

Change and progress was the ultimate goal for our kiddos. The early intervention program was seriously only a miracle because I saw changes in the kiddos that from day one, you wouldn’t even recognize who they were.

Changes from being able to utter 3-4 words where they can only make a syllable from when they started, the behavior decreases in which kiddo that used to engage in 30-40 0 self-harm to only half, learning how to wait during games, table work where they use to swipe and drop to the floor if they had to.

My favorite was when the parents would tell us what amazing progress they were making at home. I used to tear up and felt for these parents so much because it was already difficult for them and now, they can trust and rely on ABA and the therapists knowing their goal was ours.
