Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). ACE Provider #OP-14-2437.

Requirements

  • 32 continuing education units (CEUs) every 2-year cycle
  • Must include 4 Ethics CEUs and 3 Supervision CEUs
  • Remaining 25 CEUs can be in any approved content area
  • CEUs can be earned through BACB ACE Provider events, qualifying behavior-analytic graduate coursework, or BACB certification activities

Questions about ABA credentials

BCBAs need 32 continuing education units (CEUs) every 2-year certification cycle, including 4 Ethics CEUs and 3 Supervision CEUs.

RBTs need 12 Professional Development Units (PDUs) per 2-year recertification cycle. The requirement took effect 1 January 2026 and is running now, and nothing is due in 2027. Your own 12-PDU window opens when you certify or recertify in 2026, so the deadline that applies to you runs from your own date - January 2028 is the first deadline for RBTs who recertified in 2026.

The BCBA certification maintenance cycle is 2 years. During each cycle, BCBAs must complete 32 CEUs and meet all other BACB requirements.
