A free facilitator guide for school teams
Evaluate autism foundations training together
A 20-minute conversation for a school leader, educator and paraprofessional after reviewing a course. Decide whether it fits your staff and what to ask before buying.

Before the meeting
Invite people who will use or oversee the training. Share the Level 1 group course description, and ask participants to note one useful idea and one question. If the team reviews a trial, ask Special Learning to confirm access first. If you already have paid Level 1 access, contact us before starting a trial; a new trial may affect access to your paid course.
Use general examples. Do not record student names or other identifying details on this guide.

Special Learning's Level 1 group course introduces autism and behavior-support foundations, drawn largely from work with young children in classrooms and homes. It is a supplement to, and does not meet, state-mandated training requirements. Your district decides what its staff must complete. The course does not qualify someone to practise ABA, is not RBT certification or the 40-hour RBT training, and does not teach restraint, crisis intervention or de-escalation.
The group course is $99 per person for 10 or more, paid once. It has nine content sessions and a final exam; learners have 10 weeks from activation. Completing this course earns a Special Learning certificate of completion. That certificate is not a continuing education (CE) certificate.
