The try-out
01The try-out, step by step
1. Pick 3 to 10 people
Choose paraprofessionals or aides who work beside students now, and one teacher, coordinator or behavior specialist to lead the huddle. If you can, give them time in the workday to watch both trial sessions.
2. Decide what “good enough to buy” means, before anyone watches
Write it down now, so the result decides. A simple bar: most of the group finishes both sessions within the 7 days, your staff can explain the ideas in their own words, and your special-education lead finds nothing that conflicts with how your school trains.
3. Each person starts the free trial
Send your group the link below. Each person registers their own free account and gets the first 2 sessions for 7 days: “What is Autism” and “ABA Overview”. Start everyone on the same day. You won't see their progress from your side, so ask each person to tell you when they've finished.

Before they watch session 1, share this note:
This session presents information from 2012. Since 2013, the DSM-5 has classified autism under one diagnosis, autism spectrum disorder, instead of autistic disorder, PDD-NOS and Asperger's. The CDC's 2022 surveillance (published in 2025) identified autism in about 1 in 31 eight-year-olds in the communities it monitors. In a study that followed younger siblings of autistic children from early in life, about 1 in 5 were diagnosed with autism by age 3.
4. Hold a 20-minute huddle at the end of the week
Leave out students' names and any private details. Ask what was new, what they already knew, and whether the rest of the course would help them and why. Then check the answers against the bar you wrote in step 2.

The Level 1 ABA Online Training Course for groups is $99 a person for a group of 10 or more, paid once. It is not a subscription. It has nine sessions and a final exam, and each person has 10 weeks from the day they activate their access.
Completing this course earns a Special Learning certificate of completion. That certificate is not a continuing education (CE) certificate.
- Plan your team in the planner to see the cost, or ask for a quote with how many people and when they start.

Plainly
03What this course isn't
- It's a foundations course, drawn largely from work with young children in classrooms and homes.
- It isn't RBT certification or the 40-hour RBT training, and it doesn't qualify anyone to practise ABA.
- It carries no continuing-education credit and no CE certificate, and it does not meet any state's mandated training requirement. Whether it fits your plan is your school's or district's decision.
- It doesn't cover restraint, crisis intervention or de-escalation. Support for a particular student follows that student's plan and the clinician who wrote it.
