Florida ABA staff requirements, with sources
This page is for people who run an ABA team in Florida. It lists the training, supervision and credential rules for behavior technicians and analysts that we found at a state source. Each rule shows the law or policy it comes from and the date we last checked Florida. Where we couldn't confirm a rule, we say so instead of guessing.
This version covers U.S. states. If you're outside the U.S., email contact@special-learning.com with your country and we'll tell you when yours is ready.

What the state requires
Services must be rendered by: a Lead Analyst (BCBA credentialed by the BACB, an FL-CBA credentialed by the BACB, or a practitioner fully licensed under Ch. 490 or 491 F.S. within scope); a BCaBA credentialed by the BACB under BCBA supervision; or a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credentialed by the BACB, under supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA. There is no diploma-level pathway in Florida, and only the BACB RBT credential is accepted for the technician tier (not a multi-credential model like some other states).
All BA services, and specifically supervision of BCaBAs and RBTs, must be delivered/supervised in accordance with the current practice standards published by the Council of Autism Service Providers (CASP) — a private trade association, incorporated by dynamic ('current') reference, so the requirement changes when CASP publishes rather than when Florida legislates.
This page is general information, not legal advice. Rules change, so confirm with the state before you act on it.
