Kentucky ABA staff requirements, with sources
This page is for people who run an ABA team in Kentucky. It lists the training, supervision and credential rules for behavior technicians and analysts that we found at a state source. Each rule shows the law or policy it comes from and the date we last checked Kentucky. Where we couldn't confirm a rule, we say so instead of guessing.
This version covers U.S. states. If you're outside the U.S., email contact@special-learning.com with your country and we'll tell you when yours is ready.

What the state requires
Applied behavior analysis services must be provided by a licensed behavior analyst, a licensed assistant behavior analyst, an approved behavioral health practitioner with documented training in applied behavior analysis, or an approved behavioral health practitioner under supervision with documented training in applied behavior analysis; a registered behavior technician under the supervision of an appropriate practitioner may provide support services. Kentucky names only the RBT credential for the technician role, with no alternative such as BCAT or ABAT.
Kentucky's regulation sets no training-hour count for the RBT technician role, but does require 'documented training in applied behavior analysis' of approved behavioral health practitioners -- an open-ended, unquantified training obligation.
