Missouri ABA staff requirements, with sources
This page is for people who run an ABA team in Missouri. It lists the training, supervision and credential rules for behavior technicians and analysts that we found at a state source. Each rule shows the law or policy it comes from and the date we last checked Missouri. Where we couldn't confirm a rule, we say so instead of guessing.
This version covers U.S. states. If you're outside the U.S., email contact@special-learning.com with your country and we'll tell you when yours is ready.

What the state requires
A technician may provide direct ABA implementation under supervision for up to 90 days from the date they pass the RBT initial competency assessment; after 90 days they must be credentialed by the BACB as an RBT to continue rendering ABA services. The 90-day clock starts at the date the person passes the competency assessment, not at date of hire, so a newly hired, untested technician has no window at all.
The supervisory relationship must be documented in writing, and the licensed supervisor is responsible for the work performed by the RBT; services provided by an RBT must be billed by the licensed supervisor, and RBTs are not allowed to enroll as MO HealthNet providers in their own right.
This page is general information, not legal advice. Rules change, so confirm with the state before you act on it.
