Nevada ABA staff requirements, with sources
This page is for people who run an ABA team in Nevada. It lists the training, supervision and credential rules for behavior technicians and analysts that we found at a state source. Each rule shows the law or policy it comes from and the date we last checked Nevada. Where we couldn't confirm a rule, we say so instead of guessing.
This version covers U.S. states. If you're outside the U.S., email contact@special-learning.com with your country and we'll tell you when yours is ready.

What the state requires
A Nevada RBT technician (billing specialty PT 85 / 314) must hold BOTH BACB certification AND a state Registered Behavior Technician license issued under Nevada Revised Statute 641D.300 by the Nevada Applied Behavior Analysis Board. Nevada licenses the technician tier itself, in addition to (not instead of) BACB certification.

The RBT technician must be supervised by a Physician, Psychologist, or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (Master's or Doctorate).

The ABA entity/agency/group Medicaid enrollment gate (billing specialty PT 85 / 885) requires a business license and requires the clinical supervisor to hold a professional license either as a Psychologist under NRS 641.170 or as a Behavior Analyst under NRS 641D.300; a change of clinical supervisor must be filed as a Provider Update with the new supervisor's current license.
