Rhode Island ABA staff requirements, with sources
This page is for people who run an ABA team in Rhode Island. It lists the training, supervision and credential rules for behavior technicians and analysts that we found at a state source. Each rule shows the law or policy it comes from and the date we last checked Rhode Island. Where we couldn't confirm a rule, we say so instead of guessing.
This version covers U.S. states. If you're outside the U.S., email contact@special-learning.com with your country and we'll tell you when yours is ready.

What the state requires
Direct-service (unlicensed) and licensed BHO staff must receive clinical supervision on a regular, predictable schedule occurring at least monthly; the state's stated four-hours-a-month figure is a preference, not a binding floor.

Third-shift residential staff must receive a minimum of one hour of clinical supervision per month, at least 30 minutes of which is individual -- this is the one hard hour-minimum in the section.

ABA services delivered through Rhode Island's Medicaid HBTS program must be overseen by a BCBA or a licensed trained professional (e.g., a psychologist); this payment policy names no technician training requirement.

What we couldn't confirm, and why
Rhode Island's certification standards for these providers, the document that would set any technician training hours, sit on a state website that blocked our access. We could not confirm any training-hours requirement.
This page is general information, not legal advice. Rules change, so confirm with the state before you act on it.
