ASHA Certification Maintenance Paper Checklist

Use this sheet to organize your professional development and records. Check your interval and applicable rules in your ASHA account.

1. Check your interval and progress

ASHA’s current standards took effect January 1, 2026. Confirm which requirements apply to your interval; ASHA lists options for the 2023–2025 interval.

Content areas are part of the total. ASHA permits dividing an activity between the two areas, but the same clock time cannot count twice.

2. Gather records and plan the next step

Check that activities were completed in my interval and keep completion records.
Review the Certification Maintenance Compliance Form and its deadline.
Check separate state license and any supervision requirements that apply to me.
