Special Learning, Inc. launches their newest product, the Autism Educator Teaching Series, a set of downloadable eBook for educators, parents, practitioners and other individuals involved in the care and education of children with Autism or other developmental disabilities.

Special Learning, Inc., an online comprehensive Autism solutions company, today announced the launch of their newest product, the Autism Educator Teaching Series, a set of downloadable eBook for educators, parents, practitioners and other individuals involved in the care and education of children with Autism or other developmental disabilities.

The alarming rise in prevalence of Autism and other developmental disabilities in children have necessitated the need for many parents and educators to seek reliable information about these conditions. Many are at a loss in identifying and addressing the needs of these children due to a lack of knowledge about their nature, strengths, weaknesses, skills and impairments. Available research articles use technical jargon that individuals not adept in Special Education find difficult to understand. Apart from theoretical knowledge, parents and educators need more actionable material to guide them in dealing with their children with special needs.

Realizing this need for more practical knowledge and information on working with children with Autism and other developmental disabilities, Special Learning Inc. has developed its newest product, the Special Learning Autism Educator Teaching Series. This is a set of downloadable eBook for educators, parents, practitioners and other individuals involved in the care and education of children with Autism or other developmental disabilities. Using language that is easy to understand, substantiated by significant credible reference sources, the eBooks are written specifically for dedicated people who care for and work with such children, providing them with practical advice and “actionable” tips that they may readily apply.

Currently, two series are available – the Autism series and the Inclusion series. The Autism series has three titles: A Critical Overview of the Possible Causes of Autism; What Can Be Done for Children Suspected of Autism and other Developmental Disabilities; and Skill Impairments of Children with Autism and Activities That Help Develop Them. The Inclusion series has four titles: Being a Responsive Teacher in the Inclusive Classroom: Addressing Children with Special Education Needs; Curricular Modifications for Children with Developmental Disabilities in the Inclusive Classroom; Supporting the Play Development of Young Children with Special Needs; and Living in the Mainstream: Supporting Children with Developmental Disabilities in Inclusive Settings. Each book is available as a separate download, as a full package or in a subscription format.

With the release of this new product, Special Learning, Inc. continues its mission to make a positive impact in the lives of those individuals affected by autism across the globe.

Being an RBT for me was extremely fun because where were you going to find a place where you can be completely silly without having to worry what people thought about you? This was the only job that made me feel like I could make a dramatic difference while being myself.

I also liked to be surrounded by people that had the same goals of wanting to help kids and the teamwork made the job much easier and more enjoyable.

Change and progress was the ultimate goal for our kiddos. The early intervention program was seriously only a miracle because I saw changes in the kiddos that from day one, you wouldn’t even recognize who they were.

Changes from being able to utter 3-4 words where they can only make a syllable from when they started, the behavior decreases in which kiddo that used to engage in 30-40 0 self-harm to only half, learning how to wait during games, table work where they use to swipe and drop to the floor if they had to.

My favorite was when the parents would tell us what amazing progress they were making at home. I used to tear up and felt for these parents so much because it was already difficult for them and now, they can trust and rely on ABA and the therapists knowing their goal was ours.
