Why Tracking Behavior Helps
A dated log can help you recall observations and discuss questions with your support team. Context recorded before an event is not proof of its cause. Entries may be incomplete, and different days may have different observation time; this tool does not calculate behavior rates or demonstrate treatment progress.
Tips for Parents
- Log as soon as possible after the behavior (memory fades quickly)
- Use the quick-select chips for speed, then add details in your own words
- The severity rating is YOUR judgment, not a clinical measure. Trust yourself.
- Context is the most valuable part: what was happening before the behavior?
- Export a copy when you need one and choose whom to share it with
- Look for good days too. What was different? That information matters.
