QBA renewal checklist: CE, ethics and first renewal

A practical QABA renewal checklist for a QBA, with the board’s current published requirements.

Use this checklist to prepare questions and documents for your renewal. Your credentialing board decides eligibility; check your own record and the latest rules before applying.

Your checklist

  1. QABA renewals run on a two-year cycle, with four quarterly deadlines. Check the deadline assigned to your account; the board says renewal can be submitted up to 60 days early.

  2. QABA lists 32 CEUs for a QBA at the two-year renewal deadline and a minimum of 3 hours of ethics. Check with QABA how its requirements apply to your own record.

  3. QABA also lists 2 hours in trauma-informed care and 2 hours in comorbidities or multiple diagnosis for a QBA’s first renewal. Check the board’s current instructions for your cycle.

  4. Review each certificate for the presenter’s printed name and signature, check the board’s provider and activity rules, and gather your QBA background self-attestation. Complete the application and check the current fee in your QABA account.

Your renewal planning notes

Use your board account and certificates to fill in what you know. These notes are not saved or submitted and may disappear if you leave or refresh. To keep a copy, print this page before leaving. They are not checked against board records. Do not enter client information.

Check the board’s current rules and your records before choosing your next session. Print this page if you want a paper copy of your notes and checklist.

Choose sessions that match your actual need

Before buying, check the credential, CE category and certificate conditions listed for the specific session. A course collection does not by itself establish your renewal eligibility or cover every required category.
