BACB Certification Requirements (All BCBAs in Connecticut)

Starting July 1, 2026: BACB requires participation monitoring — a minimum of 3 knowledge questions per CEU. This is not a video or format mandate: article-and-quiz, journal clubs, and podcasts remain BACB-eligible.
State Licensure: Connecticut
State-specific requirements: LBA via DPH. Connecticut ties its CE to BACB standards and defines no CT-specific CE add-on in state law (CT DPH / Gen. Statutes Title 20 Ch. 382a).
Important: CE earned for BACB renewal does not automatically satisfy Connecticut LBA renewal unless the state board accepts those hours. Always verify with the Connecticut licensing board before submitting CE for state renewal.
