BACB Certification Requirements (All BCBAs in Louisiana)
Regardless of state, your BACB certification renews on a 2-year cycle.

Starting July 1, 2026: BACB requires participation monitoring — a minimum of 3 knowledge questions per CEU. This is not a video or format mandate: article-and-quiz, journal clubs, and podcasts remain BACB-eligible.
State Licensure: Louisiana
State-specific requirements: LBA via LBAPP. No recurring Louisiana CE add-on. Louisiana requires a one-time jurisprudence exam at licensure (Act 351), which is not renewal CE.
Important: CE earned for BACB renewal does not automatically satisfy Louisiana LBA renewal unless the state board accepts those hours. Always verify with the Louisiana licensing board before submitting CE for state renewal.
