BACB Certification Requirements (All BCBAs in Nevada)
Regardless of state, your BACB certification renews on a 2-year cycle.

Starting July 1, 2026: BACB requires participation monitoring. The handbook’s example measure is a minimum of 3 knowledge questions per CEU, or another form of required active responding. This is not a video or format mandate: article-and-quiz, journal clubs, and podcasts remain BACB-eligible.
State Licensure: Nevada
State-specific requirements: License renewal cycle: 2 years. State CE: Current BACB certification and BACB CE. State-specific: At least 2 hours of evidence-based suicide prevention and awareness each renewal (assistant too); may count within the BACB CE. State law also requires 6 hours of cultural competency and diversity, equity and inclusion for behavior analysts, once the Board adopts it in its rules. (source: NAC 641D.160, NRS 641D.360)
Important: CE earned for BACB renewal does not automatically satisfy Nevada LBA renewal unless the state board accepts those hours. Always verify with the Nevada licensing board before submitting CE for state renewal.
