The work of this station
Journey to Independence is a structured, evidence-based skill-building curriculum — the same systematic approach professionals use, written so parents and educators can run it at home and in the classroom. Start where your learner is; build from there.
Level 1 is where most families and classrooms begin: foundational skills, broken into teachable steps, with clear instructions for the adult doing the teaching.
The Early Learning Sampler covers a broader set of foundational skills for young learners — a fuller toolkit when you're teaching across many areas at once.
