You hold yourself to an ethics code. Your employer should be held to one too. Burnout, impossible caseloads, billing pressure — those are agency problems, and you are the talent in this market. Check the standard before you sign, and demand it where you are.
When a case has you up at night — severe behavior, a stalled program, a family in crisis — talk it through with a senior clinician. A V-CAT consultation is a second set of expert eyes, not a referral runaround.
