Allied-health professionals (SLP, OT, psychology): This series is offered as professional development. It does not provide continuing-education (CE) credit toward ASHA (speech-language), AOTA (occupational therapy), or APA (psychology) licensure. Any BACB CEUs referenced apply to BCBA/BCaBA certification only and do not satisfy other licensure CE requirements.

TIMELINE: This product has a 1-year timeline of expiration. All CEUs must be completed within 1 year.

The IEP introduction frames shared goals and parent participation. The profession-specific parts then examine how speech-language, educational, psychological and occupational-therapy perspectives can contribute to the same person's needs. Practical passages include a communication case, classroom supports, sharing an assessment and resolving a disagreement through common measures.

Recording context: These are historical recordings; exact recording dates have not been established for this collection. The IEP session has a 2019 copyright on its slides. Legal, professional-code and billing discussions are the presenters' recorded accounts, rather than verified current requirements.

The library holds the five parts, one entry each.

Guide to the five parts

Multidisciplinary Collaboration Series- Module 1: IEP Team Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Karen Chung hosts Ann Beirne and Jennifer Rumfola in an introduction to IEP teamwork. They compare collaboration models, professional roles, parent participation and shared goals, then discuss terminology, evidence and practical classroom strategies. Their legal and ethics discussions reflect the recording.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration Series- Module 2: SLP & ABA

The speech-language and ABA discussion compares professional terminology, assessment and shared functional goals. A worked communication case contrasts speech expertise in sound selection with behavioral assessment and teaching conditions; the speakers discuss carrying skills into other settings.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration Series- Module 3: EDUCATORS & ABA

The educators and ABA discussion focuses on supporting the teacher, defining a shared goal and measuring classroom participation. Examples consider classroom adaptations, whether a fidget helps, paraprofessional contributions and documenting supports that work.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration Series- Module 4: Psychologist and ABA Collaboration

The psychologist and ABA discussion compares school and clinical roles, shared assessment and terminology. Worked examples divide an FBA between professionals and use common baseline measures to evaluate competing recommendations. The speakers describe their experience rather than a universal staffing model.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration Series- Module 5: OT & ABA

The OT and ABA discussion connects client-valued daily activities with professional scope, individual competence, terminology and task analysis. Examples explore why observed behavior alone cannot establish its function. The detailed joint case study is deferred and parts of the evidence discussion are abbreviated.

This was very helpful in that it pointed out some things I could do better to foster collaboration in school environments.

The OT was the best one in the series for me as it was the one areas where I had the least familiarity.

Too much talking made it difficult to retain all the content.

Question from the Psychologists and ABA session

In your experience, have you found clinical psychologist able to help or delve into mental health issues with a child that is not conversational?

In this recorded Q&A, the speakers describe examples of working across professions through behavioral observations, parent support and reports shared with permission. They discuss communicating information a child may not report directly, drawing on their school and clinical experience.
