ASHA Supervisor Readiness Check for SLPs

For SLPs preparing to supervise students or mentor Clinical Fellows for ASHA certification. This check helps you identify a next step; ASHA and other applicable authorities determine your status.

ASHA says that before serving as a supervisor or Clinical Fellowship mentor for ASHA certification, professionals must hold the applicable ASHA certification, have at least nine months of full-time post-certification practice (or its part-time equivalent), and complete at least two hours of professional development in supervision, clinical instruction, and/or mentorship after certification. These are supervision requirements; check ASHA’s current guidance and your state, employer or program rules.

No name, email or client details are needed. Your selections are not a certification decision.
