Effective July 1, 2026, the BACB requires that all CE activities include embedded knowledge checks: at least 3 knowledge-check questions per 1.0 CEU, embedded within the learning content itself — not just a final quiz after a passive video.
This is a meaningful format change. CE activities that don't include embedded knowledge checks throughout the learning content may not meet the July 2026 participation monitoring standard. Verify your specific CE situation — including previously earned credits — directly with BACB.
The practical rule: Look for courses where questions appear throughout the course as you learn — not just a quiz at the very end. If a course is video-only or article-plus-end-quiz, ask the provider whether it qualifies under the July 2026 standard before purchasing.
