Behavior, not only awareness
Look for how skills are taught, prompted and reinforced, and how problem behavior is understood, not just what autism is.

For disability, residential and child-welfare organizations whose frontline staff support autistic children. What to check first, what to look for in a course, and one team course you can try free.
Check this first
Many organizations train frontline staff on autism because a funder, licence or contract asks them to. Before you choose any course, ask your state developmental disabilities agency or licensing body exactly what it accepts. Where it names a specific course, only that course meets the requirement. Ours does not replace it.
An example: Pennsylvania’s Office of Developmental Programs counts its own SPeCTRUM autism course, offered on MyODP, for the autism measures in its residential performance-based contracts. From July 1, 2026, previously accepted Relias trainings no longer count as alternatives for those measures. Read the announcement →

Children or adults, school-like routines or home life. Examples close to your setting are easier for staff to use.
If your requirement needs a certificate, continuing-education credit or a completion report, confirm the course provides it. Then watch part of it before you buy for a whole team.

Team course · 10 or more learners
Foundations of autism and behavior support for frontline staff: what autism is, an overview of applied behavior analysis, methods of teaching, prompting and motivation, and building participation skills, followed by a final exam.
What to weigh: it is drawn largely from work with young children in classrooms and homes, so it fits staff who support autistic children best. It does not cover adult services, crisis intervention, restraint or trauma-informed care. It does not qualify anyone to practise ABA, does not count as RBT training or the 40-hour RBT course, and does not replace your clinical team. Behavior support for a particular person always follows that person’s plan and the clinician who wrote it.
This course carries no continuing-education credit and no CE certificate, and it does not meet any state’s mandated training.
$99 per learner, minimum 10 learners ($990 for 10) · One-time purchase · Each learner has 10 weeks of access from the day they activate their code.
Free 7-day trial of the first 2 sessions, so you can watch before you buy.

No. It gives frontline staff a shared foundation. It does not qualify anyone to practise applied behavior analysis, does not count as RBT training or the 40-hour RBT course, and does not replace your clinical team.
Yes. The free 7-day trial covers the first 2 sessions.
No, it is not designed for that. It is drawn largely from work with young children in classrooms and homes, and it does not cover adult services.
