One thing to plan for if you supervise
If you supervised RBTs, BCaBAs or trainees during your cycle, the current BACB handbook requires 3 supervision CEUs. The BACB's 2027 requirements, which take effect January 1, 2027, raise this to 4. The BACB's March 2022 announcement applied the new continuing-education requirements to BCBAs recertifying on or after that date; the BACB notes that some details in that newsletter have since changed. The total stays at 32 CEUs, including 4 in ethics. This bundle currently carries 3.5 supervision CE hours. Check your recertification date in your BACB account and compare the supervision hours you have already earned with the requirement for that date. If you did not supervise anyone during your cycle, the supervision CEU minimum does not apply to you. Sources: BCBA Handbook, BACB March 2022 Newsletter, page 5, and 2027 BCBA Requirements, page 4.
