Yes, the BACB requires specific CEU allocations: at least 8 CEUs in ethics and professional conduct, at least 8 CEUs in behavior analysis foundations, and remaining CEUs in specialized or applied areas of behavior analysis.
After completing courses from a BACB ACE Provider, log into your BACB account to report your continuing education units during the recertification period. Special Learning provides completion documentation to support your BACB submission.
BCBA certification cannot be renewed without completing all 32 required CEUs. Failure to meet this requirement will result in an inactive certification status.
No, clinical experience hours do not substitute for CEU requirements. The BACB accepts continuing education from several pathways, including ACE Provider events, qualifying graduate-level behavior-analytic coursework, and certain BACB activities.
