Should I buy a second CE library? Check what is new first

If you already have one of our four $199 CE libraries, a second one adds 8 to 13 sessions that are not in the first, not a full 17 or 18. The other 5 to 10 sessions are in both. Check which ones before you buy, because a session you’ve already completed can’t count again.

Why does a repeated session matter?

The BCBA Handbook (updated June 2026) says that repeating CE activities “does not meet BACB certification requirements.” Our product pages say the same thing in practice: the CE for any training can be claimed once.

So the useful question isn’t how many sessions a library has. It’s how many of them you haven’t already done.

How much do our four libraries overlap?

We compared the session lists of our four CE libraries, using our own catalog records from October 26, 2026. This is our own comparison of our own catalog, not independent research. Here is how many sessions each pair shares:

• Video CE Library and Early Childhood: 10 shared
• Adolescents and Adults and School-Based: 9 shared
• Video CE Library and School-Based: 8 shared

Five sessions are in all four libraries:

The comparison counts sessions, not CE hours, and it matches sessions by catalog number, so it may miss two catalog entries that use the same recording. Catalogs can change after the date we checked, so the product page is always the current list.

Which second library adds the most?

The pairs with the least in common are Early Childhood with either Adolescents and Adults or School-Based. If you own Early Childhood, either of those adds 12 new sessions out of 17. If you own the Video CE Library, Adolescents and Adults adds the most: 10 new sessions out of 17.

The pairs with the most in common are the Video CE Library with Early Childhood (8 new sessions in either direction) and Adolescents and Adults with School-Based (8 new out of 17).

The right choice still depends on your caseload. Early Childhood centers on toddlers and preschoolers, Adolescents and Adults on transition planning and vocational skills, School-Based on classroom and school-team work, and the Video CE Library ranges across practice topics. What if a library includes a session I’ve already taken?

Our libraries include a SWAP. If a library includes a training you’ve taken before, you can swap it for one you haven’t taken. A swap can’t be used to carry unused training into a future recertification cycle, and you should check the replacement session’s credit before you rely on it.

How do I check before I buy?

1. List the titles you’ve already completed for CE. Your certificates have them.
2. Compare the library you own with the one you’re considering in our session comparison. Choose any two of the four lists to see the sessions they share and the ones in only one. You can also download the session list for all four.
3. Mark every title you’ve already completed. Those are the ones to swap.
4. Check the Supervision hours. Each library includes 3.5 Supervision CEUs. For BCBAs who supervised RBTs, BCaBAs, or trainees during the recertification cycle, the supervision requirement is 3 CEUs through December 31, 2026 and 4 CEUs beginning January 1, 2027 (see the BACB’s 2027 requirements).

What does each library cost?

All four have the same terms at the October 27, 2026 price: 32.5 BACB CE hours (25 General, 4 Ethics and 3.5 Supervision), one payment of $199 for one assigned user, 12 months of access and no automatic renewal.
