The CPBAO rules this planner uses
From the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario's Continuing Professional Development page, read November 2, 2026:
- 50 CPD hours during each two-year QA cycle. Your certificate type and status determine the level of participation required, so check yours in the Membership Portal.
- Section A (Professional Interaction and Interdisciplinary Activities): at least 15 hours. Section B (Continuing Education, Professional Training and Self-Directed Learning Activities): at least 15 hours. Section C (Additional Professional Development Activities) is optional.
- At least 10 hours of Ethics and Jurisprudence, at least 5 hours of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and at least 3 hours of Supervision if you provide supervision. These hours count toward the 50.
- CPBAO "does not prohibit or endorse specific activities or providers", and "activities completed outside of Ontario are acceptable."
- Keep your records and supporting documents for at least five years; the College may request them for auditing. Submit your Declaration of Completion in the Membership Portal before June 30 of your cycle's final year.
This planner is a free tool from Special Learning. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by CPBAO, and it does not decide whether an activity meets your requirements; the College's rules and your own professional judgment do.
For the technicians you supervise
Intro to ABA: Level 1 is an online course on the methods and techniques of ABA, built for the people who work with the child every day. It has nine self-paced sessions, costs $199 paid once, and has a free 7-day trial of the first two sessions with no payment card. It is basic training in ABA methods, not a credential, and it carries no CE credit.
Questions
Where is my log stored?
Only in this browser on this device. Nothing is sent to Special Learning. Clearing your browser data deletes it, so download the CSV regularly.
Is this planner connected to CPBAO?
No. CPBAO does not prohibit or endorse specific activities or providers. You decide which activities fit your plan and keep your own proof.
How do I record the content-area hours?
Enter how many of the activity's hours were spent on each required content area. Check the College's guidance if you're unsure how an activity should be recorded.
